GUIDE ON INTEGRATING MY DOMAIN NAME FROM NAMECHEAP INTO BLOGGER

If you have a blog on Blogger, integrating your domain name from Namecheap can give your blog a more professional look and make it easier for readers to remember and find. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

  1. Purchase a domain name from Namecheap If you haven't already purchased a domain name from Namecheap, you'll need to do so before you can integrate it with your Blogger blog. Choose a domain name that's relevant to your blog and easy to remember.

  2. Sign in to your Blogger account Once you've purchased your domain name, sign in to your Blogger account and go to the "Settings" tab.

  3. Click "Basic" under "Settings" Under the "Settings" tab, click "Basic" to access the basic settings for your blog.

  4. Click "Set up a third-party URL for your blog" Under the "Publishing" section, click "Set up a third-party URL for your blog." This will bring up a pop-up window with the option to enter your domain name.

  5. Enter your domain name In the pop-up window, enter your domain name that you purchased from Namecheap, including the "www" at the beginning. Then click "Save."

  6. Verify ownership of your domain name Once you've saved your domain name, you'll need to verify that you own the domain. This is done by adding a CNAME record to your domain's DNS settings. Don't worry, this may sound complicated, but it's actually quite simple.

  7. Access your DNS settings in Namecheap Log in to your Namecheap account, and click on "Domain List" in the left-hand sidebar. Find the domain you want to use for your blog and click on "Manage" next to it.

  8. Add a CNAME record In the "Advanced DNS" tab, scroll down to the "Host Records" section and click "Add New Record." From the "Type" drop-down menu, select "CNAME Record." In the "Host" field, enter "www" (without the quotes). In the "Value" field, enter "ghs.google.com" (again, without the quotes). Leave the "TTL" field as the default setting. Click "Save All Changes."

  9. Verify ownership in Blogger Return to the pop-up window in Blogger where you entered your domain name. Click the "Verify" button next to your domain name. This may take a few minutes to process. Once it's complete, you'll receive a message saying your domain is now connected to your blog.

  10. Set your domain as your primary domain In the "Publishing" section of your Blogger settings, click the "Edit" button next to your domain name. Check the box next to "Redirect [yourdomain.com] to www.[yourdomain.com]." Then click "Save."

That's it! You've successfully integrated your domain name from Namecheap into your Blogger blog. It may take up to 24 hours for your new domain to start working, but once it does, your readers will be able to access your blog through your new domain name.
